School of Sound Production – Facilities
The Diploma of Sound Production will be based in Studio 2 “The Harrison Room” with access to our main studio, Studio 1 “The SSL Room”.
THE HARRISON ROOM:
Is set up as a state of the art classroom with access to the Harrison Desk and unique collection of amplifiers, keyboards and electronic toys that make the room a perfect space for experimentation and learning.
The Harrison Room is a recording and mixing facility designed around the legendary 4032 Harrison Recording Console famous for its unique sound used on such recordings as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” & Led Zeppelin’s “In Through The Out Door”
THE SSL ROOM:
The SSL room is the creative centre of The Grove. A state of the art recording & mixing facility equipped with one of the world’s most successful mixing console, The Solid State Logic (SSL) 56 channel E/G 4000.
The SSL Console is supported by a stunning collection of modern and vintage outboard gear, effect units and microphones including the famous Neve 1064 microphone pre amps and a matched pair of Gunter U47 microphones.
