School of Music Production – Instructors

Chris Jackson:
Chris has been working as an audio engineer for a decade and has had the pleasure to work with local and international acts such as King B Fine, The Joel Jenkins Trio, Lana Rita Sayah, Erin Patrice, Joel Sena, and the Sean Harlor Trio. He works throughout Sydney recording in a variety of studio as well as on location. Chris also works with post-production companies making sound designs for short films and adverts as well as in the forensics audio field working with the NSW police.
Chris is not only a professional audio engineer but has also spent the last few years working with video, filming bands and adverts as well as online promotional content.
He has also spent the last nine years teaching audio degrees and works with students to help them find their place and passion within the creative industry.

Dexter Moore:
Dexter is a dedicated multi-award winning independent recording artist. Developing his unique nylon acoustic guitar style in the course of a journey that spans many great stages and studios.
Dexter under the guidance of Doug Rogers (owner of EastWest Studios Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood) in his ‘State of the art’ Harlequin Recording Studios had the opportunity to gain experience as tape operator, assistant, engineer and producer ( as well as multi-instrumentalist session musician ) and within two years he produced the chart hit ‘Victoria’ for legendary band ‘Dance Exponents’. This song has since been placed as #8 NZ songs of all time.
Dexters company DEXONYX Productions was established in 1990 and has since then earned a swag of nominations and awards for his independent recordings. He is currently certified to instruct students up to Advanced Diploma level in Sound Production, Music Business and Music Performance and is thrilled to take position, inspire and impart his perspective as head lecturer here at The Grove Studios
