 The Grove Studios, Sydney With Spring just around the corner the wattle is in full bloom and in Strickland State forest the winter wildflowers are going off! The main office has now moved down to the house giving everyone a little more space and building is underway for a second mix room with plans to upgrade Studio 2 soon.
The Butterfly Effect have now finished tracking their new album and the building was literally shaken by the huge sound emanating from the wall of amplifiers in the studio. Producer Forrester Savell worked tirelessly and I am sure his efforts will result in some very happy music fans. The Grove's newly formed indoor cricket team appreciated the influx of Butterfly action and look like they have made it to the finals. Thanks to all the sporty muso's who contributed to 'The Grover's' success!
Our Production/Engineering Masterclass was fantastic day. Nic Manders, Andy Sorenson, Brent Clark, Andrew Crawford, Rob Taylor & Josh Telford all shared from their wealth of experience and expertise. It was a good community time for those who spend way too many hours listening to music in their respective studios.
Ben Pounder from New World Studios was recently here recording Lucy Burke. Angus & Julia Stone recorded with Trent Dobson before heading back over to London and Andy Sorenson has just finished mixing New Empire's new record with the assistance of Josh Telford. Original Liberty have also been mixing with Andy and their album is getting closer to completion.
